Corazón del Espantapájaros [Heart of the Scarecrow], 2015-2016 is inspired by the tragicomedy of the same name written by by Hugo Carrillo (1929-1994) in 1962 and staged in 1975 in Guatemala by students at the Universidad Popular. In partnership with artisans, costume designers and actors, Naufus Ramírez-Figueroa developed masks, garments and props displayed at the exhibition as still objects. These objects are activated by actors in presentations in the Bienal Pavilion and Ibirapuera Park. Performances will be held at 3 PM every Saturday until the exhibition closes.
