In his sonic lectures, Sinethemba Twalo uses recorded interviews, archival recordings, music  and  fictional accounts to reflect on the moment before, the moment between and the moment after. The Abyss is a Tautology is the title of a series of lectures Sinethemba has been presenting which  interrogate processes of de/ coloniality. The work is interested in the performative nature of language, the politics of noise, and that which has been marked by time and affect. Working from the suggestion “We don't yet know what a sonic body can do”  Bite the Hand [over and over]… and yet again: a sinuous and unravelling gesture, the latest iteration is a continuity in an ongoing process.
