Taking the film Ma’arad Trabulous [The exhibition at Trípoli] (2016) by Alia Farid as a structuring point, the architects Wassim Naghi and Rodrigo Queiroz speak about the relation between Oscar Niemeyer’s projects for the Ibirapuera Park in São Paulo (1951/54) and the international Fair, in Tripoli (1962). The conversation is based on the historical, architectonic and artistic relations between these constructions, suggesting some common characteristics in the forms, and, at the same time, evidencing their contextual distinctions.
